Black wool riding habit w/ wool braid trim to collar, cuffs & peplum of fitted bodice, CF thread covered ball buttons to CF, cuffs, peplum & as closure of apron skirt, silk top hat w/ chenille dotted tulle to brim & quilted twill silk interior, label "R.H White & Co, Boston”, hat label “Victor Day and Company, London – Hollander & Co, Boston”, B 32”, L 17”, skirt W 22”, L 43”-55”, (missing buttons right cuff, expanded CF placket, wear to trim, few patches CB closures, light stains up to 3" lower skirt-hem, tiny holes), hat H 5.5”, L 10”, Circ. 20.5”, (light wear edge of crown & brim, creasing CF w/ 1” & 0.5” tears, few tears in tulle, surface dust, sm snacks underside of brim, wear/shatter/discoloration to lining) Valentine Museum. Hat fair, habit good.
