2-pc sack-back open robe gown in warp ombre ribbon stripe w/ weft lace motif continuing into taffeta ground w/ broche’ rose bud, applied pinked horizontal ruffled swags to both gown & original full petticoat w/ tiered ruffle across front, engageante slv, photographed w/ stomacher not included (sold in lot 241), gown c. 1750, likely continental, textile 1740s, Wd 20”, gown B 30”-32”, W 24”, L 55”, petticoat W up to 24”, L 36”, (bodice altered, sm tears armscyes, 1.5” tear right W seam, wear spot/tear left W, few sm stains, light tidemarks across CB/seat area & CF petticoat hem w/ some light blue dye bleed, many loose stitches at hem/possibly let down, minor shattering & few repairs 3”-4” repairs petticoat W, petticoat ties replaced) Very Good.
