Black velvet dinner jacket w/scalloped neckline, CF opening & hem all edged in graduated silver wrapped & looped cording accented at each loop w/pink sequins, pink & white 3-D floral beads & faux pearls, labels “Salon Moderne, Saks Fifth Avenue” w/tape to underside inked “S. Cutten, 11/12/1940,” SH-SH 15”, B 36”, L 21”, (slip N/I, wear & tarnish to trim, sequin tarnish, minor bead loss, minor crushing at elbow & CB crease lines, stains & small areas of shatter at underarm lining) good. Provenance: Ruth E. Turk (c. 1890s–unknown), affectionately known as "Sunny," was an American socialite who married Wall Street stockbroker Ruloff E. Cutten in New York on June 18, 1921. Same jacket held in MET collection #1978.288.21a–d.
