Augusta Auctions is North America’s premier auction house for rare historic fashions & textiles. We are currently seeking a dedicated full-time employee to assist with cataloging & mounting garments and textiles for our monthly auctions.

This is an entry level position with great potential to expand and grow with an established auction house.

Duties to include:

• Handling a wide variety of antique, couture & vintage garments and textiles,
• documenting measurements, condition, and performing label research
• Costume mounting for photography
• Organizing and caring for inventory
• Assisting with client pick-ups and drop-offs
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs, stand for long periods, and work well independently as

The ideal candidate will have a basic working knowledge of 18th through 20th century fashionable silhouettes, and a desire to further their knowledge.

Experience handling period garments is preferred but not necessary.

We are willing to train the right candidate as long as they have enthusiasm and passion for costume history!

This is a rare opportunity to join a small team of dedicated professionals in bucolic Southern Vermont, and have access to a fascinating array of fashions & textiles spanning centuries.

This is a full time position with a somewhat flexible schedule, at least 3 and preferably 5 days per week & Starting wage $18-$22 per hour commensurate with experience.
