18th C gown of textured self-ribbon stripe patterned silk in rose bouquet & sprig motif on taffeta ground, re-made in the 1840s w/ sleeves & silk crepe ruffle to neck & engageante sleeves added c. 1915, B 30”, W 22”, L 51”, (alterations to bodice & W, shattering present throughout, heavy wear/stressed repairs at underarms, 1.5” seam strain CF bodice, heavy wear CB bodice, several tiny-1.5” stains, trim discolored, few seam openings up to 3”) fair.
