1 coverlet or canopy of yellow silk damask in large scale symmetrical ogival pattern of palmettes & pomegranates, yellow silk tassel fringe at perimeter, unlined, France, 19th C in late 17th C Italian style, 86” x 115”, (minor seam strain b/t panels, few areas of shatter near edges w/ tears up to 1.5”, minor discoloration, wear to fringe) Very good; 1 panel of cisele silk velvet w/ pattern of rows of lotus & lily palmettes in yellow-green on light brown ground, lined in light brown silk, France, early 20th century based on a 1590s pattern, 45” x 90”, (light wear to pile, few sm wear spots) Excellent. Provenance: Brooklyn Museum.
