Blackware pottery jar of compressed globular form w/ slightly flared .5" rim w/ 2.5" band of matte black decoration at the shoulder of stepped clouds & rain on polished ground, signed on bottom "Marie & Julian", Ht 5.5" x 7.5", (small .125" diameter pit in lower part of decorated band) excellent; t/w 1 postcard dated 3/19/37 depicting the studio of Marie & Julian written by the buyer describing the purchase & autographed by Julian Martinez, (corner torn, very soiled) postcard fair.
