Possibly Tlingit, carved cedar or spruce board in a somewhat long paddle shape, the 5.5" wide board terminating w/ a rectangular tenon shape at top & tapering to a 2" handle for the remaining 30" at bottom, remnants of wooden pegs along the wide sectionof 1 side may have held skin or fabric, carved w/ human profile, & having polychrome decoration of faces, raven, salmon, eagles, etc., Ex. Collection Dr. Bruce Ruddick, L-108", widest 5.5", (small knot missing) otherwise excellent.
