German bisque head, mold mark "8" in back, French style composition & jointed body, brown glass eyes, w/ dated 1954 written provenance stating in part, "This doll was dressed in the early 1880s by Mary Wolfendale Dawson…of Greene, R.I….", original clog: eyelet edged cotton gown, eyelet edged full underslip, cream wool petticoat, knit white booties, (1 foreleg detached, 2 chipped fingers, hair replaced mid 20th C) good.
