Worked in shades of blue, green & tan wool, foreground center of tapestry depicts a woodland boar hunt w/ hunters & dogs converging from either side, set in a countryside populated w/ manor houses & castles, unique horizontal format; accessioned by museum as from Brussels but most likely from Oudenaard, Enghien or another regional weaving center, L 21 1/2', Ht 5 1/2', (repairs, dirty, some fading) very good.
