Our October Historic Fashion & Textile auction in New York City is filled with never-before-offered vintage gems; promising to be a great sale full of surprises. Our catalog of rare clothing, textile objects and fashion accessories come from many American museums, estates and private collections.  

Some of the featured items include an extremely early example of the work of French fashion pioneer Jean Patou and a rare collection of hats made by the late Bill Cunningham, long time chronicler of NYC fashion for the New York Times. In the late 1950's & early 1960's Bill was a milliner on 57th Street and Madison Avenue and created these very rare examples. This sale includes many of his whimsical creations, along with his rarely seen William J  label. Also featured is a 1980's Stephen Sprouse jacket with an Andy Warhol print.

We are also featuring the first of many sales with items from the now-closed American Textile History Museum in Lowell, Massachusetts and the Museum of the City of New York..

Also to be sold is an exceptional Madame Gres couture collection, a Paulette Goddard sequinned evening gown, a 19th C. pearl & jewel encrusted Worth wedding gown and a slinky rhinestone jumpsuit worn by Marla Maples at Mar a Lago with her then husband Donald Trump.

There are Chinese and other ethnic clothing and textiles, Indonesian Batiks, 1920s beaded & lame' garments (including many incredible coats,  silk lingerie, hats, quilts, laces, diamonds, tribal & costume jewelry & great finds from every era of the 20th century.
